Established in 1981, GIC is the fund manager of Singapore’s foreign reserves. We invest the reserves to secure Singapore’s financial future for generations of Singaporeans. Extending our long-term view beyond GIC, we are committed to developing an understanding of long-term value among Singaporeans.

In 2023, GIC launched a financial literacy video competition open to students from all pre-university institutions, ITEs and polytechnics in Singapore. We invite students to demonstrate their understanding and application of GIC’s investing principles in their personal finance management through an original video. The best entries will become part of GIC’s financial literacy learning resources, to benefit current and future cohorts of students.

As part of the MOE-GIC Partnership, this initiative aims to encourage students’ interest in and understanding of financial literacy, to help build their capacity for securing their financial future – and in turn, the nation’s.
